We have seen two doctors in two days, hoping to find some answers to the source of Ally’s bad breath. Her gastro doctor has suggested putting her on a low dose of medication to see if that eliminates the problem. We agreed to it because our other alternative was to bring her in for another pH probe or a gastro scope. Both of which are going to be equally traumatising for her.
It’s the second day of medication and I’m starting to see a difference. But it could also be the NeilMed Sinus Rinse that I used for her yesterday. Even though its a pediatric kit, it was very tricky trying to get her to do the rinse. At one point she forgot to keep her mouth open which resulted in lots of coughing and choking. I have to say the rinse is very effective, the amount of gunk that came out was surprising. She’s picking her nose a lot less as well. All in all, it looks like a very promising start.
